Another trip to El Hierro , the smallest and farthest south and west of the Canary Islands,flying there from Tenerife Norte airport after staying a night in Santa Cruz.Great views of La Gomera on both the outward and return flights.
I rented an casa in El Pinar and did some good walks high above the coast, up to Malpaso the highest point and also down to La Restinga.
Compared to last year there are more buses with extra services during the day including weekends and now nearly all operate through the "winter" and well as the summer.

Bus to San Andres then paths to Fuente de Azofa,Mirador de Isora,Mirador de Las Playas and back to El Pinar.

I then flew back to Tenerife and stayed in Santa Cruz for two more nights ,doing a lovely walk up into the Anaga mountains north of Ingueste.
