Restabal,Andalucia ,February

A quick trip to Southern Spain to do some walking with my friends Philip and Patricia. Restabal is a village in the Lecrin Valley inland towards Granada from Motril on the Tropical Coast.Some local walks from the door and a couple in the Alpujarras and Axarquia mountains.

Lopera on eastern edge of the Axarquia mountains ,from Meson Los Prados

 

Restabal ,Conchar circuit

 

Conchar via the ravine ,and then the easy way back

 

Rather than teetering along the lavada the route crosses over the stream and stays on a reasonable cairned path

Maro to the Torre and back
