Puerto de Mogan
Warm weather days in the south where I did a couple of walks from the Degollada de la Aldea/Mirador de Tarsatico  and another from Fataga.

On the Fataga to Santa Lucia walk - above the dried out bed of Presa de Sorrueda

The settled spell of fine weather deteriorated to cold and wet on the move to the north of the island but I still got some good walks in including the final one above Telde ,from Valsequillo up into Barranco de los Cernicalos and on up to the Caldera de los Marteles and down to Tenteniguada with sleet and hail during the 1400-1500 metre top section.

New year,new bothy,new mountain

A brief trip to western Snowdonia with my pal Andrew ,based for two nights at Cae-Amos which was newly renovated by the MBA in early 2017.
Also on hand Mynydd Graig Coch which became a "proper mountain" in 2008 after re-measurement found it to just exceed the magic 2000 feet mark by 6 inches.
We timed our visit to take advantage of the reasonably warm weather after the poor spell leading up to Xmas.

El Hierro and Tenerife November - December 2017

Usually I've combined visits to Tenerife with La Gomera but on this occasion decided that a trip to El Hierro was long overdue.
Saw a variety of high plateau and coastal landscapes on my walks and proportionally perhaps more farming and other agricultural activity than on the other islands?
On Tenerife I did some more of the Anaga paths and had a first look at the area above La Orotava with a walk north to south over the cumbre on the Camino de Candelaria.
